Releasing the Light of Life, Part 1

Jesus Christ received eternal life from his Father in heaven.  John 1:4 says, In him was life; and the life was the light of men.  He is, to name a few, the Light of the world, the Word of God and by releasing the light of life to whosoever will believe in him, the Saviour of the world.

When we believe and receive eternal life through Jesus Christ, we receive the light of life.  Jesus himself tells us in Matthew 5:14 Ye are the light of the world…  God himself is light and no darkness at all. (I John 1:5)  He is all powerful, all knowing, and present everywhere.  Power and knowledge in the light of his presence is available to us right now!

How do we allow the light of life to change us?

II Corinthians 5:17 tells us, Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

In Christ, the real you, the spirit man is new and all things are now become new.  When God made man, he breathed the breath of life into his nostrils and he became a living soul (a speaking spirit).  Your spirit and soul (Psalm 23:3) are brand new.  Now by faith, drawing from the light of life in his presence, the Holy Spirit teaches us to live from the new man in Christ Jesus.  No longer do we live in unbelief from the old dead man where the old things are passed away.

From our new position in the Kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ, multifaceted, multilevel power and knowledge is revealed to us from our heavenly Father.  We choose to pursue, believe, receive, learn and grow in the eternal things of God. To actively live in the now of the eternal light of life from our new man is to live in the precious victory the Lord Jesus Christ has provided for us.

Our spirit man is already in agreement with the Spirit of God.  As we hear, dream, see, read and meditate in God’s will for our lives, we must remain consciously aware of the leading of the Holy Spirit in the new eternal things he is teaching us.  Applying the revealed Word of light and life to our daily lives, increases the capacity of our soul (mind, will, emotions, intellect and imagination).

The now Word of God is spirit and life.  As we apply the Word to our lives by believing, thinking and speaking what we have learned, our souls and lives continually release the power of the Word to change us from the inner spirit man (the real man) outwardly to our natural body.  The light of life heals us, delivers us, opens our eyes and restores us spiritually and naturally.

How can we by Releasing the Light of Life help ourselves and others will be discussed in Part 2.
